Overview

The Store Planner is responsible for creating and monitoring selling and inventory opportunities at multiple levels of the company and merchandise hierarchy. They oversee specific regions of the country for both Aeropostale and Nautica brands. They collaborate with various cross-functional teams from Store Line to Production to optimize selling at the sku/store level.

Responsibilities

• Develop store level contributions based on historical and trend selling patterns.
• Partner with Field Organization to identify opportunities, address risks and concerns, and communicate key initiatives
• Act as a resource for planning and merchandising teams to assist in testing, analysis and adhoc reporting to drive better business results
• Partner with cross-functional teams to set up new stores, adjust plans as appropriate for temporary closings, renovations, etc.as well as assist in all transfers of merchandise
• Proactively analyze builds and seasonality patterns for all stores to adjust plans for store level behavior changes
• Analyze and report on store segmentation to identify trends and update location plans as necessary
• Partner with Allocation on store callouts to ensure adequate inventory is positioned for stores based on the location plans.
• Size balance and recommend units to hit plan in year-round styles

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of Allocation, Store Planning, Merchandise Planning or related financial or analytical experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in high volume, multi-location distribution environment in specialty retail a plus
• Strong communication skills; concisely presents complex information/recommendations in terms meaningful to various audiences
• Highly analytical
• Experience interacting with Field Teams a plus
• Proficient in retail financial measurements
• Strategic and innovative thinking skills
• Flexible and adaptive to changing environment and demands
• Travel may be required, based on business needs.
• Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
 
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day 
• Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day 
• Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
• Ability to reach at or below shoulder level
• Ability to carry equipment, move boxes/samples, etc.

 

Requirements & EEO Statement

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $72,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered and work experience. In addition to your salary, SPARC Group, and its affiliated brands, offers a benefits package, including 401(k) plan, overtime pay, flexible work schedule and a generous employee discount program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
